Our History

Our company was established in 1930, when the Martinelli family created a small enterprise operating in the field of textiles.

In 1967 we started collaborating with manufacturers of tea bag packaging machines in order to develop special yarns for filter bags. In this field, quite soon our company managed to establish itself on national level and to lay foundations for expanding worldwide. 

In 1987 Interfil was born, based on long experience, and with the sole purpose of manufacturing just special yarns for filter bags excluding all the other productions; the whole energy, research and development of the company had to be dedicated to the project above only.
